Love everything about this. Moody, catchy; great jams. I'm not great at reviews but I'll try and describe a recurring scenario. Occasionally, when the insomnia hits and it's the dead of night, I go out to the stereo, put the lights on real low, and listen to this on my own. It's a wonderful atmosphere... Sparks the imagination. Comforts me. I listen to it in the daytime too of course! But this album is one I return to over and over again...

Mark Wingfield is always recommended listening for fans of Jazz or Fusion guitar (among the names usually dropped you'll find Alan Holdsworth, Terje Rypdal, Pat Metheny). Nevertheless, this isn't just pure Jazz. I seem to hear more traces of progressive rock than in his other recordings, but probably that's just an early impression...

My first foray into the huge catalogue of Steve Lawson. I floated through this long-form piece, carried through the beautiful layers of loops, warm chords, washes and melodic fragments. The meditative energy rose every now and again with gorgeous sounds popping between my headphones. As instructed, headphones and a dark room - or eye mask - works superbly. I’ll be turning to this track many more times for ultra focus and relaxation. Thank you Steve.
