Featuring songs recorded between 2002- 2016, Transience is a personally curated introduction to the more accessible side of Steven Wilson’s monumental solo output.

Transience contains 14 tracks and totals over 1 hour of music, including a bonus track “Happiness III”.

As a self confessed lover of pop music; Transience serves to showcase Steven’s more traditional songwriting skills and an opportunity to re-contextualise some historic tracks, not confined by the concept album framework. Originally released on limited edition vinyl in September 2015 Transience shot straight to #3 in the UK vinyl charts and made history by making Steven Wilson the first artist to chart solely on vinyl sales this century.

Steven Wilson’s previous studio album Hand. Cannot. Erase. in 2015 was a worldwide monumental commercial and critical success, gaining his highest chart positions - USA #39 Billboard Top 200, Canada #24, UK #13, Germany #3, Netherlands #2 & Finland #4 in national album charts, as well garnering a plethora of 5 star reviews.
